2018 has been a great year for the club.
The club successfully ran the NY State Outdoor State Champions in Old Westbury NY. We want to thank all the members who volunteered and dedicated time to the event. Without your assistance we would not been able to pull this one off. Thank You.
Many of our members have traveled to USAT events this year with great results. You can find many of the them at the range on a regular basis.
The club championship is only weeks away. Stay tuned for updates.
If want to want to volunteer or become more active in the leadership of the club, please talk with one of the board members. We are always looking for assistance or new ideas for the club.
See you on the range
Joe McGlyn
2018 might seem to be off to slow and “cold” start. However, our long-awaited outdoor archery season is finally here and the weather is looking better by the day. I hope everyone will take advantage of this one-of-a-kind venue on Long Island this spring, summer, and fall to enjoy archery. You can become a Nassau Bowmen member here.
For a fresh start, we completely redesigned the Nassau Bowmen logo and website. Our goal was to give the club a fresh and modern look and feel. I hope you like it.
Let’s all try and promote our great sport and club. Bring a friend, a partner or a co-worker to a Saturday session and help them experience archery.
Look for great things this 2018 season.

How Can You Help The Club?
In the past 2 years the club has grown and become stronger. Our events are more widely attended by the surrounding clubs in the tri-state area. We’ve made investments in new equipment, timing systems, matts and stands. Without the help of our members this would not be possible.
If you have a desire to become involved in club there are several committees looking for additional members with fresh ideas. You do not need experience in any particular area, believe it or not you don’t even need to be an archer.
The Communication Committee is looking for assistance with the club news letter and social media pages.
The Tournament Committee is looking for assistance with event setup which includes field setup, signage, score cards and results. The 2018 event planning sessions will begin in the fall along with the scheduling of the NYS Outdoor Championships.
Field Committee is looking looking for a few volunteers to assists with the 2018 Try Archery Days schedule for 2018. As a volunteer you would assist new archers with taking their first shots with the bow. You’ll also act as an ambassador of the club answering any questions they might have about archery in general or the Nassau Bowmen Archery Club.
If you have a desire to see the club grow or want to get involved with a committee; send us an email or chat with us during one of the practice sessions.
